TECHNOLOGYThe final article is only as good as its verification. High-precision bearings are assembled and measured under controlled conditions that would surprise anyone used to ordinary workshops.
Precision and contamination-sensitive bearings are assembled in cleanrooms (commonly around ISO 14644-1 Class 7, formerly class 10,000) so microscopic debris never enters the raceway. Components are ultrasonically cleaned to remove grinding residue before assembly, and matched by size so balls and raceways fit optimally.
Verification uses coordinate measuring machines (CMM), roundness and profiling instruments, Rockwell hardness testers and surface-roughness gauges. Bore, outside diameter, raceway geometry, roundness and Ra are all quantified against the ordered tolerance class. Modern lines add automated vision and digital traceability so each bearing's measurements are recorded.
Beyond size, bearings are graded for vibration (commonly Z1-Z4) and noise. Low-vibration grades matter for motors, spindles, dental handpieces and any equipment where audible hum or ripple is unacceptable. A quiet bearing is usually also a well-made, long-lived one.
At KMK Bearing (SINO BEARINGS, KMK brand) these principles guide every order we manufacture in Chengdu, China. Our in-house process chain - forging, heat treatment, precision grinding, superfinishing and cleanroom assembly - is built to the standards described above, whether the part is a standard catalog bearing or a custom-engineered solution.
