TECHNOLOGYFull ceramic bearings carry the load entirely on ceramic rings and balls - no steel anywhere. That gives four properties no steel bearing can match:
| Property | ZrO2 (zirconia) | Si3N4 (silicon nitride) |
|---|---|---|
| Density | 6.0 g/cm3 | 3.2 g/cm3 |
| Max temp | ~500 C | ~800 C |
| Fracture toughness | Higher (better shock) | Lower (brittle under impact) |
| Best for | Chemical pumps, medical, food | High speed, high temp, EV motor insulation |
PTFE, PEEK or no-retainer full-complement designs; dry-running, high-temp grease, or solid lubricant (MoS2) fill. Our engineers size the internal clearance for the real temperature gradient so the bearing does not seize at cold start.
Browse the standard range in our ceramic bearing catalog, including 6000/6200/6300 series, flanged variants and ceramic sleeve bushings.
